ABOUT ME

After 20 years in Executive leadership roles, I have learnt a thing or two about being an effective leader - of self, teams and our organisations.

I was a career girl from the day I stepped foot into my first role at the BNZ. I loved it and progressed quickly becoming a money market dealer in my early 20s. My career was humming until the age of 35 when I unexpectedly became a single parent to a five year old boy.

I still had huge career dreams but wasn’t sure I could do both well enough. I knew I had to make a decision - quit or commit. I committed and got my first Executive role as General Manager Human Resources two years later at the age of 37. A big deal for a commercial girl who didn't even have an HR background.

But a few people took a chance on me, a few more coached and mentored me and I worked hard to learn all I could about being a Executive and HR Leader.

I have always appreciated those coaches and people who saw my potential and now with 20 years Executive experience under my belt it is my turn to coach and mentor the amazing talent in our workplaces.
